Mansa Musa - The Wealthiest Emperor Ever

Mansa lived in Mali Africa in the late 1200's, was appointed emperor and took over a large chunk of north west Africa.

Mansa quickly became the largest producer of gold in the world and while emperor, he created one of the most successful kingdoms. The value of his wealth is pretty much immeasurable. He even caused a huge economic collapse in other countries just by giving away so much of his gold, then felt bad about the collapse that he caused, so he offered to buy back the gold at twice the value to help their economy re-stabilize.
